Richard Borghese, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Borghese is an experienced value investor. For the past fifteen years, he has served as an operating executive and led private equity investments for several energy projects. Mr. Borghese was CEO of Northern Offshore where he led the company through the final stages of bankruptcy, divestiture of non-functional assets, reactivation of existing idle assets, and an acquisition program that doubled the size of the company. He has held the role of Technical Director New XCL China, an offshore China project investor. He spent his early career as a petroleum engineer and analyst with Aegis Energy, Trust Company of the West (now EIG), and Veazey & Associates. Mr. Borghese holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College. He is a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA).
